Urban SDK Partners with North Richland Hills

North Richland Hills, a vibrant city nestled in the heart of Texas, is taking bold steps towards a smarter future with its recent partnership with Urban SDK. This collaboration signifies a significant milestone in the city's commitment to traffic safety and addressing the pressing challenges that face many modern cities.

North Richland Hills is more than 90% developed with a roadway network is nearly built out, meaning that officials are now tasked with optimizing the roadways for smart growth.

"We feel very fortunate to be partnering with North Richland Hills," said Urban SDK's Ross Loehr. "We're obviously very familiar with this part of the state, and love that this is a community that values quality of life. Being able to measure the effectiveness of calming efforts will further the city's dedication to responsible use of public resources."

With a population over 70k and 250 miles of roads, North Richland Hills officials have laid roughly 80 speed humps to varying success. Urban SDK will immediately present the city with historical data on how, and where, those humps have been successful — and where future calming strategies might be needed.

Urban SDK is North America's leading traffic management solution. We provide customers with roadway data that immediately tells speeds, volumes, reliability, and roadway characteristics.

Richland Hills joins a growing list of North Texas municipalities that rely on Urban SDK to better understand their road network.
