Urban SDK Partners With Farmers Branch

Urban SDK, the nation's leading traffic management software, is excited to announce its partnership with Farmers Branch, Texas, aimed at bolstering traffic safety measures in the community.

Farmers Branch, situated in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, faces challenges typical of most urban areas, including traffic congestion and safety concerns. By leveraging Urban SDK's traffic calming software, the city aims to proactively identify potential problem areas and allocate resources effectively.

"Bandwidth is limited from a local law enforcement perspective," stated Chief of Police Kevin McCoy. "We now have the ability to proactively identify potential problem areas from a speeding perspective using Urban SDK — and allocate our resources using near real-time data."

Director of Public Works Ryan Sartor emphasized the importance of responsiveness to public concerns: "We receive a fair amount of public speeding complaints on neighborhood roads, and traffic calming methods are very expensive to implement. We now have the ability to respond to those complaints in real time, and determine if they qualify for traffic calming."

"We are thrilled to welcome Farmers Branch, TX to the growing DFW Metro + Urban SDK Network," said Urban SDK's Eric Wingbermuehle. "They are a forward-thinking community that puts their citizens first."

Through this partnership, Farmers Branch joins a network of cities across the DFW Metroplex leveraging Urban SDK's technology to enhance traffic safety and improve quality of life for residents.
